Dunedin Meeting November 2011
The meeting in Dunedin was very successful and most enjoyable. The environment was superb, despite the challenging weather for a North Queenslander like me!
My heartfelt thanks and congratulations go to our New Zealand colleagues for their great organisation and warm welcome.
Information about our next meeting will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
I would like to welcome our new Convener, Zlatko Skrbis from UQ, as he takes over this role.

Convener’s Welcome

Dear Colleagues,
As the incoming Convenor, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Helene Marsh for her significant contribution to DDoGS activities and in particular, her stewardship of the group over the past two years. Helene has played a key role in a number of initiatives that have progressed the DDoGS agenda and resulted in enhanced outcomes for research training. I would also like to express my thanks to the DDoGS Executive for the work they have undertaken and their continuing support during my term.
There is no doubt that the tertiary sector is currently facing a number of significant challenges that are likely to shape the future of research training in our institutions. But challenges always come with opportunities and collectively we will shape the outcomes that create new opportunity horizons.
I am very much looking forward to my term as convenor of DDOGS and to working with you and on your behalf over what I believe will be a productive two years.
